Art and Healing is a pathway to healing physiology by modifying the immune system, the circulatory system, and changing how one perceives the processes of one's own environment, one's own body, one's own spirit, and of one's own life. Emotions, perceptions, attitudes, and viewpoints are all affected through the combined efforts of moving into Art and Healing.
Through dance, music, poetry, and visual arts, Art and Healing have been found to have strong effects on healing, on wellness of spirit, on body and mind. Art and Healing practitioners and the medical community now work together through creativity for the benefit of those suffering from chronic and fatal conditions, such as cancer and AIDS. Art and Healing is an impressive force, healing patients who are dealing with overwhelming mental and physical conditions, those in need of inspiration to develop a sense of emotional and spiritual wellbeing that will bring the body into its most promising healing form.
